Kai-
Not really noticing the small dog had even been there he smiled brightly "Well hello there, aren't you just the cutest thing i've ever seen!" He made this high pitched bark as he got down in a play-mode stance. "I'm Kaitoa, but everyone calls me Kai, you are?"

Lupay-
At the sound of her sons fullname she stured from her sleep and got up, walking to the edge of her cage and smiling. "Aw, my little boy is making friends." She woofed softly.

Mona-
Considering he didn't want to make a huge deal over a small rat, he ignored that comment.

Kai-
"Oh, we can't." Kai whimpered, "We can't get past thoses doors into freedom." He said quitely, looking at the two metal doors at the end of the hall. "I'm not magic, but I do know my way around here. C'mon!" Kai started to trot off to where the other cages were.

Mona-
Mona took this to great offence, he had been most likely older then this poodle who knew nothing about being in the wild like he did. "No, try 3 years. You have never fought a dog in your life while I have spent my whole life fighting grizzly bears and wolves. So do not tell me you have fought. I'm done with this coversation you shaved-butt rat."

Kai-
Kai had magically decided that he wanted out, so he carefully unlatched the latch and walked right outof his cage and over to Sorren's "Well hello, moutain."

Velours-
Velours saw this as a perfect opportunity to make a witty comeback. "Well how old are you? Two days? Certainly seems that way from your intelligence level, fleabag. And I look this way from fighting. But you should have seen the other dogs." Velours was now pressed against the wire staring sarcastically at Mona.

Sorren-
Sorren sighed.
"Sure, Kai.' He replied to the young dog.

Aurea-
Oh great dog! The people were going to kill her! WHY!
"MEEP" Aurea squeeked, a little too loudly

Mona-
"It's Mona, you sofa." Mona growled devilishly at the poodle. "And how old are you? Like 57, you sure do look like it."

Kai-
"That... May or may not be true Sorren." His face turned bleak. "I'm sorry to say this but i think that the poodle is right. If we don't get adopted soon.. we'll all die." Trying to make the situation a bit lighter Kai added. "Wanna be friends? You seem like a nice dog."

12-10-2013 at 3:58 PM
Velours-
"Hey, Marie or whatever your name was, I've been a stray longer than you've been alive too. I could take you down any day. Quit acting like such a tough-dog. Mr.Dopey over here was just trying to be nice, which he'll soon find out never does anybody any good, but that's besides the point!" she hissed over her shoulder

Sorren-
"Velours said, the humans would kill us....Is that true.." He said quietly, trying not to upset the animal in the crate. " And Mona, I didn't mean to upset you. I just want to figure out whats going on here." Sorren was very difficult to anger.

12-10-2013 at 3:51 PM
Lupay-
She turned slightly in her sleep, trying very hard to ignore the to fighting boys.

Mona-
"I don't care about your name! To me, you are Mutt! Got it?" He barked at the medium sized dog that had politly told them his name. Mona looked angerily at his little brother before trotting back off to his mother, suggling up to her.

Kai-
He carefully licked his wound on his neck. "Ignore Mona... He is just a little up set, you'll get use to it." Kai said with a heavy sigh. "Nice, to meet you Sorren. As for the getting out of here part, i'm afraid there is no way out." Kai refused to answer Sorren's question about why they were in there in the first place.
Velours-
"I AM NOT A SOFA!!"
Velours roared. "I am a poodle. And for your information, I have been a stray longer than you've been alive, pup!" She barked, not loudly, but her words were filled with venom. With that she turned in a circle and flopped down facing the other direction.

Aurea-
Aurea made a noise that sounded something like "Emrpff" and tried to crush herself into the floor of her crate.

Sorren-
"Hello, I'm sorren, could you possibly tell me how we could get out of here, or why we're here?" Ha barked politly, trying to make up for the grouchy poodle's outburst. Sorren had never had very many real friends, and he hoped to make some."

Kai tilted his head to one side at the new comers, he could remember the first time him and his familt had come to the pound, it was not a pretty site. Figuring that he could help these new comers out, he stood up and went to the edge of the cage, sticking his nose through the cage bars he barked. "Hey! Welcome to the prison, I'm Kai, nice to meet you-" Kai got cut off in his sentence when he say the poodle "HA! You look like a pampered sofa! Tell be, sofa, what on earth are you doing in the Cages? You have my full attention." He smirked at the poor dog, unaware of his brother's pressence behind him. "I thought I told you to shut it!" Mona's not-so-loud voice boomed at his younger brother before he chomped down on the pup's neck. Kai whined but didn't say anything, so much for helping out the others with their first-day-here problems.

Velours-
NO NO NO NO NO! Velours thought as a catch looped a leash-stick around her neck. THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING! she fought, thrashing her head from side to side, throwing her wieght around. It was no use. She was caught. The catcher dragged her inside the place of cages and up to a cage with a dog and a whimpering crate in it. The catcher shoved her into the cage. He slammed the door and left her there. "LET ME GO!!!" she barked at the top of her voice through the chain link door. The Large dog thet had been laying on the floor stood up, slowly wagging his blck and white tail.
"Excuse me, I'm Sorren, I was wondering if you could tell me where we are and why? Also what's your name? Velours rollled her eyes. "I'm Velours. And we're in the place of cages, because the humans hate us. It doesn't really matter though. We're all going to die here" She muttered as she flopped onto the floor.

Sorren-
Sorren backed up.
"Um thank you..." He replied cautiously. He would rather sit with the talking crate than this dog

Aurea- Had that dog said they were going to DIE!? She burried her muzzle deeper in the blanket. Maybe if she stayed in the crate the people would leave her alone and her family could come save her.

Sorren-
A man looped a leash around sorren's neck, Leading him into a building. As they passed through a swinging door, a wave of crazed barks swept over him. He obediantly padded on the cold cement floor int a cage where the man led him. The man closed the door with a clang and walked away. Sorren looked at the doggs in the other cages around him, Al the cages were large, enough to fit at least six dogs comfortably. The other dogs just glared at him. It seemed he was the only one in this cage though- wait- He thought he could smell another dog nearby. But all that was in the cage was a tiny dog crate. Sorren nuged it away from the wall.
"Go away!" a shaky voice squeeked from inside. "I'm not going to hurt you" Sorren replied.
"I Don't Care!!" said the voice. A small cream colored paw shot out of the kennel and pulled it back against the wall.
Sorren figured this dog needed some space. He flopped down on the floor laying his head on his paws.

Aurea-
A petite human picked up Aurea's crate. The woman walked through a door and Aurea's ears were instantly bombarded with a huge amount of frantic barking. "Help Help let me out!" "Did she bring people? Will they take us home!" "Chester, is that you, did they bring you back.! I missed you!" The woman walked toward a large empty cage. She stepped inside and shut the door, then set down Aurea's crate. She opend the door to let Aurea out, then slipped out the door, locking it behind her. Aurea slithered out of the crate slowly, looking around. All the dogs that were barking madly not long ago were staring at her now. Silent. One spoke. "Welcome to the place of cages." he said menacingly. "Hopefully, you'll be one of the few of us that leave this place.." Aurea, Shaking, grabbed the corner of her crate in her mouth and dragged it so it faced the concrete back wall of the cage. She slunk back inside ans slid herself closer to the wall. She burried her face in her paws and began to whimper. The tattered blankent on the bottom of her crate smelled like her family. Like safety. Like home. And most definatly not like here.

Name: Aurea (Latin for golden)

Gender: Female

Breed: Dachshund

Appearance: Long haired cream: https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRdSQwksUqDUa22y7pIDwgGYHUeMDEqbevZUcCXx-ZiWHP4kOCq

Age: 1 human year

Personality: Aurea constantly upbeat,it really takes a lot to bring her down. although upset about her owners, still hopeful perky and positive. Tries to keep negative feelings hidden from other dogs. If she's upset or angry at you, you KNOW you must have really done something she didn't like, gets really super attached to friends and family. She is quick to panic.
.
History: Aurea was adopted from a reputable breeder at a very young age. She can hardly remember her dog family, but she didn't mind, because up until know, she'd had a loving human family. But that's all gone now. Several weeks ago, her owners began packing up boxes and boxes of their things. One day they put her in a box too. Not a cardboard box like the ones they packed their belongings into, but the dog crate. At first Aurea was excited. They were going on an adventure! But as the people loaded her into the car, the human pups began to cry. "We don't want to leave Area behind!" they bawled. Of course, the little dog couldn't understand their words. As they drove, Area began to get nervous, something wasn't right. The car pulled into the parking lot and one of the adult humans came to get her. They walked into a building and Aurea was set up on a counter. " We're moving, and our apartment in our new town won't allow dogs." He said sadly "Please find Aurea a good home" With that he turned and walked away, not looking back. "Wait!" Aurea barked forlornly "You forgot me! I have to come with you!" But they never came back. Leaving Aurea, barely more than a pup, alone and afraid. The question now is, will she ever find a family again. Her old one? Or is a new family waiting for her, somewhere in the future?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name: Sorren

Gender: Male

Breed: Bernese Mountain Dog

Appearance: Bernese mountain dog tricolor coat: https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTmqYUQf-0jVXfTWgdxqwG_yO7RSnLXnc1AMNUoVWRPPCCPzqBIhg

Age: 3 human years

Personality: Sorren can be very serious at times, but is normally quite playful.
He is very strong willed and strong spirited, but he always puts the needs of others before himself. He handles dire situations quite calmly. A very brave dog.

History: You can't tell that Sorren has had a tough life from the way he acts, but it's true. Sorren was born in a puppy mill, and taken away from his mother far to quickly. He can't even recall her face, or those of his brothers and sisters. He never met his father. His first home was a good one. Although low on money his family did the best they could to care for him, but more and more days went by that he didn't get a bite to eat. Reluctantly, his owners had to sell him. The man Sorren's family sold him to was terrible. He chained Sorren, still a small young dog, in his back yard. The only food he could eat was the occasional rodent or lizard he caught on his own, the only water from puddles when it rained. Sorren was used as a bait do for illegal dog fighting. His owner, The Mean Man was the name Sorren's puppy mind came to call him, would set viscous fighting dogs on him. Sorren never blamed the dogs. He could see in their eyes that they were just as scared as he was. The dogs that didn't fight him were taken away. They never came back. As Sorren grew, thoughts of fighting back began to emerge. One day, as large, stocky male dog with a blank, fearful stare was brought to attack him. As the dog lunged at him, Sorren finally snapped. He blindly lashed out. He was bigger and stronger than his opponent. When the haze of rage and fear cleared from his eyes, he saw in horror that the dog was pinned below him. Sorren's own paw was raised to strike. "Please. Please don't hurt me. I'm sorry! They made me do it!" Whimpered the dog below him. Sorren jumped back, terrified of himself. The Mean Man stormed out the gate. Sorren pulled with all his might on the steak that nailed him to the ground, straining with all the might of his 2 year old self, he yanked it out of the ground. Sorrren ran as fast as he could, as far as her could away. He was picked up by a rehabilitation center. They nursed him back to health. The center had all the right intentions, funds, people, and faculties, but not the right paperwork. Sorren was seized by the pound when the center was shut down, now a strong, healthy 3 year old dog. Will the pound finally offer a chance for Sorren to be happy? Or will it just add another nightmare to the list?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name: Velours (French for velvet, s is silent)

Gender: Female

Breed: Standard Poodle

Appearance: Black: https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSinfg-objO4jHJig5ThlGm1s6KSNHy6lpO1PNO0n8SepztojZ5Jw

Age: 4 human years

Personality: Sullen and introverted, very intelligent. Wishful, but not hopeful. Very tough, sarcastic and rude. You could say, that rather than rolling with the punches, she kind of just gets hit. Secretly very lonely.

History: Velours's mother was a rescue dog. By the time Velours was born, the woman who owned her mother was very old. One day, that Velours can barely remember, people came to the woman's house and helped her into a car. "What about my dogs?" the woman's frail voice asked. "We'll find them good homes." the people promised as they shepherded her into a van. "But-" A man cut her off "You can't take them with you" he said briskly as he ushered her into the van. The people locked her mother and her siblings and her in the house. Several hours later people came to take the dogs to the place of cages. As they loaded her family into a cage filled truck, Velours bolted. She hid, huddled under a neighbor's porch, for 3 days, waiting for her mother, or the kind old woman to come rescue her. hey never did. She lived her life until this point as a stray. Freezing in the winter, burning in the summer, constantly hungry. Although Velours has forgotten how her mother always told her that everybody's story has a happy ending, no matter how sad, she does remember the old lady's kindness. But more vividly she remembers her life as a stray. It embittered her. Will Velours be able to overcome her past, find someone of somedog as kind as the old woman? Or will she forever be bitter and loneley?

Other: This took FOREVER. This better be a good roleplay!!

Name: Kai http://gsrne.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/silky-sable-sauvignon1.jpg

Sex: Male
Age: 2 (dog years)
Breed: German Shep.

Family: Mona (brother) http://www.ckwik.com/Dog-Pictures/dog-picture-german-shepherd-playing-biting-snow-hd-wallpaper/

Lupay (Mother) http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-npf_1XnoBe8/USRWAVQpxuI/AAAAAAAAElE/HhKcK6q0Sy0/s320/German+Shepherd+dog+running.jpg

Crush: None
History: First off, lets get one thing out of the way, Mona is Kai's older brother. Mona was the only puppy out of a litter of six that made it through the harsh winter. And Kai was the lucky surivor out of the second litter that this mother had. Granted, she only had three puppies, but still. Mona was only a year old when his mother gave birth to Kai. Mona had always wanted a sibling that he could romp around with, so Kai was the answer to his prears. Straight off the bat Kai and Mona bonded, they loved each others company and some would say that it was Mona's conpanionship that kept Kai alive, that may or may not be true... Even though Mona and Kai are brothers they hardly look anything alike. Mona is a regular colored German Sheperd while Kai on the other had is the regular color of a German Sheperd but is coated with a light blanket of black that looks like ash. You may be wondering where their father is, there is a half-way easy explaination for this. Just like Kai's litter mates, Coco and Miles, their father, Gray, died from terrible frostbite. Due to their fathers death Lupay was left to tend to her two presious baby boys. Well, that worked out quite nicely for them. Until Kai wanted to go exploring one fine afternoon and stumbled right into a dog catcher, scared out of his mind. Kai ran. Leading the catcher straight back to the place of where his mother and brother were resting. The catcher took all three of them in to the pound where they are now desprately trying to escape. This tragic accident casued the two brothers friendship to plumit, the two of them are always at wachy others throats almost trying to kill one another. Will trying to escape the pound bring the brothers together again, or rip them further apart?
